BRAND STRATEGY
Absolute control over a brand is not possible due to outside influences. Nevertheless, intelligent use of design, advertising and marketing can generate useful associations in people’s minds. These associations can have a profound influence on their behaviour or purchasing decisions. It is important to understand and actively manage as many aspects of your touch points and communication as possible. If you would like to develop and proactively manage these associations you'll need a brand strategy.

The key to the success of any brand strategy exercise will be to create a distinctive brand identity with instant appeal. The branding must convince the prospective client that the brand is a reliable and trustworthy organisation with values that they can identify with.

RESEARCH & INVESTIGATION
Only once we have a clear understanding of the business would we put pen to paper. We would work with the client to confirm definitions of how the organisation operates, a vision for the future and its personality. From here we can effectively begin the branding process.
THE BIG IDEA
A Big Idea for an organisation is a goal that is challenging, achievable and resonant. It needs no explanation. The Big Idea does not need to be communicated directly to the public. It provides a valuable foundation for decision making within the organisation.
IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT
When we design a brand identity we consider a number of points. We try to ensure the design is distinctive, appropriate to the business and practical. Simplicity is often desirable. Ideally the logo would be memorable and contain the magic ingredient of intrigue.
BRAND GUIDELINES
Brands are more than just a logo. This is why brand guidelines exist. A brand's tone of voice, typography, colours etc should be used create a visual language. The consistent application of this language is critical and the brand guidelines can be used to ensure this is adhered to.
MATERIAL DESIGN
Once we have crafted a new identity we are often asked to consider the design of the primary brand collateral. This might be some packaging or a website. Whilst the specific requirements may vary, what remains consistent is the need for high quality design.
BRAND GUARDIANS
As a brand focused agency we are ideally placed to offer ongoing support to organisations as brand guardians. Many of our clients have internal marketing staff and we can work with them to ensure consistency of branded communications.
