Taylors Traditional Products Website
Taylors Traditional Products is a family run business based in Buckinghamshire. The business has a heritage dating back to the 1820’s. Taylor's sell specialist and artisan goods produced by food and drink companies all over the UK. In other words, they stock the type of goods that you will find in the best independent farm shops. In addition, they also sell wholesale and deliver to a customer base from Chesterfield down to Andover from their Woburn Sands base.
The Project
The initial approach from Taylor's Traditional Products was to create new a new corporate identity in addition to a new website. After the successful branding project the subsequent logo has been successfully applied vehicle livery and an e-commerce website. The website enables sales to the general public as well as wholesale customers. Importantly, these two client bases are kept separate due to some clever work behind the scenes.
The Solution
The independent, family-run nature of Taylor's generated thoughts of traditional, wholesome values. Therefore it evoked mental images of 1940’s grocery shops with shelves packed with hundreds of different products to best serve their customers. This subsequently led to the idea of a shop window, with hand-painted lettering. In turn, this idea became the basis for the creative solution around the user interface for the website.
