Snugburys Ice Cream Packaging Design
Snugbury's approached Red Fred Creative to develop a new packaging design for their range of ice cream and sorbets. We have worked with Snugbury's Ice Cream since 2021. During this time we have designed various pieces of packaging and design using their brand style. Additionally, we helped to develop functionality on their existing website to promote events and sell seasonal products.

The Project
The previous packaging design had very little variation. Consequently, the feedback from customers indicated that it was quite difficult to recognise the different flavours. In addition, some changes to the ingredients and allergy information created a perfect opportunity to revisit the packaging design. Therefore, we evolved the design to increase the visibility of the variety whilst retaining the prominence of the Snugbury's brand. The design is instantly recognisable as a Snugbury's product and the variety is much more visible. As part of the project we created a number of size variations including smaller sizes that are called 'Theatre Pots'.

The Results
More colour variation was added to the pots which will instantly set the flavours apart and provides an indication of the flavour. Similarly, stripes were added to the sorbet packaging to create some visual distinction between this range and the ice cream flavours. The result is a distinctive and on-brand ice cream packaging design that has been rolled out across the range including the larger catering sizes.
