INTERIOR DESIGN – FLINT + FLINT CONCEPT STORE

Brief

Flint + Flint were given the opportunity to pitch to the high end department store chain Harvey Nichols to open an aesthetic clinic within their Manchester Store.

The big idea for the interior design of the clinic was to visualise an “Anti-Spa Spa”, moving away from sector clichés such as bright, white, glossy interiors to something more chic, cool, edgy and modern. The client had a vision of materials such as slate, stone and concrete coupled with flashes of neon colours – a direct reflection of their packaging.

Flint + Flint initially approached Red Fred Creative to produce an initial presentation document for the pitch to Harvey Nichols. This presentation acted as a mood-board, providing a vision of the interior design of the clinic using textures, typefaces, colours, materials all of which were employed in a series of 3D visualisations.

The Look & Feel

A sensory and intriguing space which would be dark, stylish and cool. Small flashes of fluorescent colour to add interest, colour and light to the interior design.

The Solution

The original pitch presentation document helped the client gain the space within the Harvey Nichols store and Red Fred Creative were asked to produce wall graphics, interior signage and supporting marketing collateral that would match with the interior design. We created everything from the VIP invitation, wall graphics, price lists, gift vouchers and door signs.

A hand drawn style, which is used elsewhere in Flint + Flint branding, helped turn this striking, stylish and irreverent interior design concept into a reality. A senior representative of Harvey Nichols later said the store was the best concession in the country.

The Client

Thank you and your team for all the hard work – it really wouldn’t be as striking as it is without your input!
