Unilever is a Dutch-British transnational consumer goods company co-headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands and London, United Kingdom. Its products include food, beverages, cleaning agents and personal care products. It is the world’s largest consumer goods company measured by 2012 revenue, and is also the world’s largest producer of food spreads, such as margarine It is Europe’s seventh most valuable company. Unilever is one of the oldest multinational companies; its products are available in around 190 countries.
Unilever have offices based in Warrington, Cheshire and its research and development center based in the Wirral, Cheshire. The university of Liverpool on the outskirts of Cheshire is also home to some of the
biggest research projects for Unilever, Cheshire proudly contributes to important aspects of the Unilever product and business development. The facility in partnership with the University of Liverpool would help it to produce bigger and better consumer innovations. The 120,000 sq ft Centre on Grove Street in Liverpool is occupied by a t of 250 researchers, including scientists from Unilever and staff from the University.

Bentley Motors Limited is one of the most popular British luxury car manufacturer which was founded by W. O. Bentley in 1919 in Cricklewood, North London. The headquarters is based in Crewe Cheshire, The main reason was that the British Government searched for a location during the war to ensure production of the aero – engines in a secure location. Crewe in Cheshire was the perfect location and the most logical with its excellent road and rail links, as well as being located in the northwest away from the aerial bombing starting in mainland Europe.Crewe in Cheshire known for its vast farming land had boundless land available all 60 – acre in fact enabled the construction of the factory to begin in July 1938 on the potato fields of Merill’s Farm. Five months after the factory began its construction the first Rolls-Royce Merlin aero – engine was being produced and distributed. 25,000 Merlin engines were produced at its peak. In 1943 when world war II was taking place in Europe, Rolls-Royce moved its car operations to Crewe, Cheshire while the aero engine operations were based in derby.After Volkswagen bought out the business they spent GPB500 million (US$845 million) to renovate and modernize the factory based in Crewe, the purpose was to increase the capacity. Its been estimated that Volkswagen invested almost US$2 Billion in the revival of Bentley. The body work and parts are shipped from Germany where the factory at Crewe impliment the final assembly.
